Craig W. Adamson, Ph.D.
President, CSF and Buxmont Academy
Dr. Craig Adamson oversees all CSF Buxmont restorative programs and initiatives. These include day treatment/alternative education, in-home and community based counseling, foster care and conferencing programs for at-risk youth and their families in eastern Pennsylvania. Craig’s dedication to introducing restorative programming in community based settings, empowering families, keeping youth connected to their families and providing quality restorative services to families and youth is central to his work at CSF Buxmont. He has been with the organization in counseling and administrative positions since 1995. Craig is Senior Advisor to the President and an Associate Professor at the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP) Graduate School. His interests include the influences of restorative practices in justice, education, counseling and adult learning. Craig is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He earned a Master of Restorative Practices and Youth Counseling from the IIRP in 2008 and a Ph.D. in Education from Lesley University in 2012.

Michael DeAntonio, Ph.D.
Executive Director, Buxmont Academy
Dr. Michael DeAntonio has three decades of experience in the teaching and administrative fields of public education. He began his career as a middle school science teacher and more recently has instructed graduate students preparing to enter the field of secondary school administration. Michael was the principal at Fleetwood Area School District for six years and an Assistant Principal at Upper Merion Area High School for seven years. He completed his doctoral dissertation at Alvernia University, focusing on the role that restorative practices plays in Pennsylvania high schools. Michael is a lecturer at the IIRP Graduate School and an adjunct professor in the Department of Secondary Education at Kutztown University. He serves on the Board of Directors of PASAP (Pennsylvania Association of Student Assistance Professionals) and is the Co-Chair of the Education Group for PCCYFS (Pennsylvania Council of Children, Youth & Family Services).
Sam White, MRPE, CPC
Assistant Director of Academic Programs, Buxmont Academy
With over 30 years of experience in the education field, Sam White has been a restorative practitioner – formerly in the classroom with at-risk adolescents, and later in her work with adults – with Buxmont Academy since 2000. She received her bachelor’s degree in Art Education from The College of New Jersey and her master’s in Restorative Practices and Education from the International Institute for Restorative Practices. She has presented at numerous venues on topics such as blended learning and RP, restorative processes in the classroom, shame and affect, and the importance of play for adolescents. Sam is also an Aggression Replacement Training agency trainer and has worked as a Lecturer and Trainer for the International Institute for Restorative Practices in earlier years. Outside of Buxmont Academy, Sam is a certified professional life coach, therapeutic art coach and workshop facilitator. She and her husband Bryan live in Bucks County with their cranky cat and grouchy old parrot.
Robin Alozie
Supervisor of Special Education
Born and raised in Bethlehem, Robin knew at an early age that her passion was for helping others. In 2006, Robin earned her B.A. in Communications from Temple University, and gained employment at KidsPeace Residential programs and Children’s Hospital in Orefield as a recreation counselor. While working with this unique population of adolescents in crisis, she decided to go into the field of education. Prior to continuing her graduate studies, Robin served as a substitute teacher in both the Allentown School District and Colonial Intermediate Unit #20 classrooms throughout Northampton County. Between 2012-2015, Robin worked as a Teacher Associate in Centennial School while earning her M.Ed. in Secondary Education in Lehigh University’s College of Education, with dual certification in Special Education 7-12 & English 7-12.
Upon graduation, Robin became a Special Education Teacher at her alma mater of Liberty High School in Bethlehem Area School District. In addition to her duties as a Special Education teacher, Robin served as an instructor of an Academic Leadership Seminar program that focuses on college preparation and career readiness through mentorship, leadership development, and social-emotional learning.
For her work and effort both in and outside of the classroom, Robin received several awards, including The National Liberty Museum and State Farm Insurance 2019 “Teacher as Hero” award which recognizes exceptional educators who leverage their excellence in teaching to honor student voices both in and outside the classroom, foster diversity in the classroom, teach how to resolve conflicts respectfully, and incorporate the above concepts related to relationships with colleagues and community members.
In July of 2020, Robin completed her second M.Ed. degree in Educational Leadership at Lehigh University, through Lehigh’s U*PAL program, specializing in Urban Education, Race & Equity. With these credentials, Robin served as an Assistant Principal In Bethlehem Area School District, leading Freedom High School’s social-emotional learning & instruction, SAP programs, Wellness Center, as well as IIRP’s Restorative Practices on both a building and district level.
Robin joined Buxmont Academy as a Supervisor of Special Education in 2024 and enjoys building relationships while providing support for student success. Robin enjoys spending time with her family, attending concerts, kayaking, and continuing to engage in her church and local communities.
Harry Keyser
Assistant Director of Enrollment
After graduating from Ursinus College in 2008 with a B.A. in Politics, Harry began his professional career working with at-risk adolescent youth in a residential treatment school as a Counselor, Teacher, Wrestling Coach, and a Senior Counselor/Staff Supervisor. He earned his Pennsylvania secondary education teaching certificate in Social Studies from Cabrini University in 2012 and an M. Ed. from Cabrini University in 2021. Harry began his career at Buxmont Academy in 2018 as the Student Success Coordinator and in 2023 he moved into his current role as the Assistant Director of Enrollment. Outside of Buxmont Academy, Harry serves as the Head Wrestling Coach at Lower Merion High School. He and his wife, Carla, have two daughters.

Jerry Bradley
Assistant Director of Community Based Services
Jerry Bradley is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) and Co-Occurring Disorder Professional (CCDP). He began his career with CSF in 1989. He is the Assistant Director of Community Based Services, where he supervises the Intensive Program (IP), which provides in-home individual, group and family counseling for at-risk youth, the Restorative Reporting Center program (RRC), which is an alternative to out-of-home placement, Competency Skill Development (CSD), a cognitive behavioral therapy based in-home counseling program, and Aggression Replacement Training® in a community based setting. Jerry is well versed in restorative practices and utilizes Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) and Restorative Conferences in each of the programs he supervises. Jerry is also a drug and alcohol evaluator for Bucks County Juvenile Courts.
Michelle Rooney
Foster Care Coordinator
Michelle has worked in the social services field for the past 6 years. She is currently the Coordinator of Community Service Foundation’s Foster Care Program providing leadership and coordination of services for foster care youth and her team. Previously, Michelle worked as a senior organizational development consultant and executive coach to companies and client groups, specializing in women’s executive development.
Michelle is trained in trauma informed care, Motivational Interviewing, Aggression Replacement Training® (ART), and is a trained substance abuse counselor. Michelle earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Communications with a concentration in Systems Analysis from McDaniel College, a Master of Science in Human Resource Development from Johns Hopkins University, and a certificate in Restorative Practices from the IIRP Graduate School. Michelle embraces the use of Restorative Practices in both her professional and personal experiences. Her passion lies in working with at-risk-youth nurturing growth in adolescents and their families.
Chrissy Buretta
Coordinator, Community-Based Services
Chrissy has been with CSF for more than 20 years and earned a master’s degree in Restorative Practices & Youth Counseling from the International Institute for Restorative Practices in 2009. Prior to becoming Coordinator, Chrissy was lead counselor at CSF for more than ten years, supporting youth and families as well leading the process for attaining CSF’s drug and alcohol licensure.
Amber Doundas
Conferencing Services Program Coordinator
Amber supervises the Conferencing Services Program. Amber started her career at CSF in 2006 after graduating from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. Amber has coordinated and facilitated over two hundred Family Group Decision Making meetings and has helped lead her team in assisting over one thousand families in the Bucks and Montgomery County communities since 2016.
Susan Wachtel
Co-founder, CSF and Buxmont Academy
Susan Wachtel (retired) utilized her extensive experience working with troubled and at-risk youth for four decades. In 1977, she co-founded CSF Buxmont with her husband, Ted Wachtel. Through her commitment to the principles of restorative practices, she was instrumental in positively affecting the lives of thousands of young people. Susan was the founding dean of students with the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP) Graduate School — a master’s-degree granting graduate school offering advanced education in restorative practices for educators and youth-serving professionals.
Ted Wachtel
Co-founder, CSF and Buxmont Academy
Ted Wachtel (retired) is the founder of the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP) and co-founder of CSF Buxmont schools. He co-authored Toughlove, a best-selling book for parents of troubled adolescents, Dreaming of a New Reality, Restorative Justice Conferencing, The Restorative Practices Handbook, Restorative Circles in Schools and Family Power, and has written numerous articles on restorative practices. He continues to advance the field of restorative practices at his website BuildingANewReality.com.
